Pricing & billing
What plans does Aletheia offer?
Aletheia has a Free plan for trying the tutor, plus paid Starter, Family, and Family+ plans. Paid plans unlock longer sessions, homework helper, reports, Privacy Shield, and higher child-profile limits. See the pricing page for the current monthly and annual prices.
Do annual plans charge monthly?
No. Annual plans are billed once for the full year. The pricing page shows a monthly equivalent only to make comparison easier.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically, but you can cancel from the Parent Dashboard billing area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep access until then.
What is the refund policy?
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Contact support with the account email, plan, charge date, and a short explanation.
Parent and child accounts
Who creates child accounts?
A parent or legal guardian creates the parent account, completes consent, and creates each child profile. Children should not create their own parent account.
How does PIN login work?
Parents choose a 4-6 digit PIN for each child. Children sign in with the family code plus their PIN, either at /child-login or a family-code link such as /child-login/YOURCODE. Aletheia stores the family code locally for convenience so returning children only need their PIN when possible.
Can a child use email sign-in?
Parents can choose PIN-only access or PIN plus an email account for older children. PIN-only access does not require a child email address.
Can parents see and manage child activity?
Yes. Parents can review progress, session history, child settings, and access controls from the Parent Dashboard. Parents can also delete child profiles and associated learning data.
Privacy & safety
Is Aletheia designed for COPPA compliance?
Yes. Aletheia is built around parent-managed child profiles, parental consent, minimal child data collection, and parent control over review, export, and deletion.
What child information is required?
Aletheia asks for information needed to personalize learning, such as a display name or nickname, age range, learning settings, activity, and tutoring conversations.
Do you sell child data or show ads?
No. Aletheia will never sell child data, use child data for advertising, or show ads in the child-facing learning experience.
Where can I read the full privacy terms?
Start with the Safety & Privacy page for plain-English details, then review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the full policy language.
